Paraglider plunges to death at Mystic Hill, near Bright. Police believe the Porepunkah man failed to correctly harness himself into the apparatus before taking-off from a launching area in Mystic Lane about 1.15pm. It appears the man fell out of the shoot about 300 metres from take-off and landed in a pine plantation. The 53-year-old died on impact.
Fatal collision in Milawa (Vic Police). -Investigators believe that a 19-year-old Wangaratta woman was driving her Hyundai along Oxley Flats Road around 9.15pm. The car hit a tree that had fallen across the road. The woman, and only occupant died at the scene.
